(GUNNISON, CO)--For the 69th straight quarter, Gunnison Savings and Loan has been rated one of the top 7% of banks in the nation according to BauerFinancial Inc., one of the nation’s top bank analysts.
The rating is based on the overall financial picture of the bank, and 5 stars indicates that Gunnison Saving & Loan is one of the strongest banks in the nation.
"2009 brings with it a whole new set of worries, but where a person banks shouldn’t be one of them," said Karen Dorway, president of BauerFinancial. Dorway added that some other banks ignored proper loan underwriting standards in recent years, but "Gunnison Savings & Loan is a prime example of a bank that has stuck to traditional, conservative banking strategies."
"Gunnison Savings and Loan is a model of banking safety and soundness, and its customers can rest assured in that knowledge," Dorman said.
